DNS Vault – Refund Policy

Last updated: 11 February 2026

Domain names are digital assets and transfer rights can change quickly once a transaction progresses. This policy sets out when refunds may be available and when sales are final.

1. General Rule

Domain purchases are generally final. Refunds are only available in the limited cases below.

2. Buyer-Initiated Cancellation (Limited Window)

You may request cancellation and refund only if all of the following are true:

Where a buyer-initiated refund is approved, we may deduct direct third-party costs already incurred (for example payment processing, escrow, or FX/transfer fees).

3. No Refund After Transfer Starts

No buyer-cancellation refund is available if:

4. If DNS Vault Cannot Deliver

If we cannot complete a paid order for reasons attributable to us (or the domain is unavailable despite confirmed payment), we will provide a full refund to your original payment method, unless alternative resolution is agreed with you.

5. Payment Method Notes

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback after transfer completion may be treated as a payment dispute and may result in account restrictions, legal recovery action, and provider dispute handling.

7. How to Request a Refund

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within one business day and provide a decision as quickly as reasonably possible.

8. Refund Timing

Approved refunds are sent to the original payment source. Banking timelines vary by provider and card issuer. Typical settlement time is 5–10 business days, but may be longer depending on your bank/payment network.

9. Relationship to Terms

This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict, the Terms prevail except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
